[Recap 2023]
Sustainability Action Research in Progress:
Universiti Malaya Circular Economy & Carbon Neutrality Acceleration Living Labs final progress evaluation
The ongoing action research called Universiti Malaya Circular Economy & UM Carbon Neutrality Acceleration Living Labs under the coordination of Universiti Malaya Sustainable Development Centre (UMSDC) has concluded its final evaluation phase in December 2023. As a result, all six projects evaluated are now granted a three months extension to complete their respective projects.
With a focus on advancing circular economy practices and achieving carbon neutrality, a total of 3 Circular Economy and 3 Carbon-Neutral projects have made significant strides in its pursuit of pushing the sustainability agenda further via research. Researchers have collaborated with various stakeholders relevant to their projects to implement innovative solutions, fostering resource efficiency and reducing environmental impact. Through rigorous data collection and analysis, these projects aims to assess the effectiveness of interventions and identify areas for improvement. This holistic approach integrates academic research with practical applications and driving real change while promoting sustainable development.
