Sustainability@UM Training & Capacity Development
The Sustainability@Universiti Malaya Training and Capacity Development is an institutional initiative that supports the development of sustainability knowledge, competencies, and practices within the university community. The programme is designed to strengthen understanding of sustainability principles and their application across academic, operational, and engagement contexts.
The programme encompasses a range of learning activities, including workshops, seminars, short courses, and collaborative sessions covering key sustainability themes. Topics may include environmental stewardship, responsible resource management, climate action, sustainable development practices, and related interdisciplinary approaches. Through these activities, participants are provided with relevant frameworks, tools, and practical insights that can inform decision-making and support sustainability-related initiatives within their respective roles.
The programme also contributes to ongoing institutional efforts to embed sustainability considerations into teaching, research, campus operations, and community engagement. By supporting continuous learning and capacity development, the Sustainability@UM Training and Capacity Building Programme helps advance Universiti Malaya’s broader sustainability agenda and long-term institutional objectives.
