EcoCampus@UM via Universiti Malaya Sustainability and Development Centre (UMSDC) is inviting all eligible UM researchers to submit project proposals on a new UM Living Labs @ UMSDC Grant:
i) UM EcoCampus Living Labs Grant (Cycle 1 2023)
Application period
Application is open from 28th February 2023 (Tuesday) until 29th March 2023 (Wednesday) (1 month)
Duration of the project
Minimum: 9 months
Maximum: 12 months
Quantum
Up to RM30,000 (max) per project
Focus
The grant covers mainly on UM Eco-Campus Blueprint (UMECB) while also supporting United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), UM Sustainability Policy 2021-2030, the national and local agendas such as Malaysia MADANI (you may also read the full speech text on Malaysia MADANI by YAB Prime Minister of Malaysia dated 19th January 2023).
IMPORTANT NOTE:
There are two (2) specific priority areas for this Cycle 1 2023, highly encouraged for UM Researchers to apply:
i. Energy and Climate Change
ii. Transportation and Mobility

Submission
Interested applicants are required to submit a softcopy (both in word doc and PDF format) of the complete project proposal ONLY to UMSDC email: umsdc@um.edu.my cc to: suzaini_zaid@um.edu.my, zeeda21@um.edu.my, fadhli@um.edu.my & affannasaruddin@um.edu.my) latest by 5.00 pm, 29th March 2023 (Wednesday). Incomplete proposals or late submission will not be entertained/processed.
Online Clinic (Briefing Session)
UMSDC will arrange an online briefing (UM EcoCampus Living Labs Grant Clinic) scheduled on 17th March 2023 (Friday) at 10 am via Microsoft Teams. Kindly register HERE if you are interested in applying the grant by attending this online briefing.
