The paper presents real-world case studies on how IHLs can develop their campuses sustainably while achieving financial independence from government grants through innovative financing mechanisms.
Panellists will also explore UM’s Net Zero Blueprint strategy, discussing key initiatives and practical steps taken to reach this ambitious goal. This session will examine the opportunities and challenges of sustainable finance in higher education, including emerging trends, proven strategies, and actionable insights. The discussion will provide a roadmap for IHLs seeking to accelerate their transition toward sustainability, offering key takeaways and next steps for integrating sustainable finance into long-term institutional planning.
