Chulalongkorn University as a network member of the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU), has called for a strategic sustainability partnership discussion on the proposal of APRU Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Education on Global Citizenship. The discussion is joined by APRU, Chulalongkorn University, Universiti Malaya, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Kyushu University, and Simon Fraser University.
The proposal aims to bring strategic partners to co-design the educational program focusing on one thematic SDG, on which Health and Well-being is the chosen theme for the pilot phase. Core partners of this program are expected to bring forth the role of content contributors, mentors, judges, and student recruiters throughout the program rollout.
Key members representing Universiti Malaya under the coordination of the International Relations Office (IRO) UM include the Global Enrichment & Mobility (GEM) Centre, UM Sustainability and Development Centre (UM SDC), Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS), and Institute of Ocean and Earth Sciences (IOES). UM SDC has proposed to include the Mental Health team from the Faculty of Medicine UM (led by Dr. Zuraida Ahmad Sabki) to explore the opportunity to promote our in-house developed module while bringing mental health and sustainability to the forefront focus. Special thanks to IRO UM and APRU for having UM SDC be part of this partnership.
