Exploratory Discussion and Sharing Session between Bursa Malaysia and UM
on Sustainability Practitioner Competency, ESG, and SDG Initiatives
Universiti Malaya (represented by UM Sustainability and Development Centre - UMSDC, UMConsult, and the Faculty of Business and Economics UM) is exploring opportunities with Bursa Malaysia, with both parties sharing several initiatives on sustainability competency, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); which include sustainability-related courses and training programs coordinated by both parties.
This session deliberates on the importance of the corporate sustainability practitioner competency framework developed by Bursa Malaysia and how it could benefit preparing future sustainability-ready graduates. On another note, the sustainability reporting guide and toolkit provided by Bursa Malaysia are also useful materials detailing the business case for embedding sustainability and giving guidance on achieving it.
