The initial strategic discussion convened key members from UM Sustainable Development Centre (UMSDC), UM Zero Waste Campaign (ZWC), and Estates Department (JHB) to deliberate on the strategic trajectory of the UM Zero Waste Campaign (UM ZWC) and a proper planning for the upcoming establishment of UM ZWC Gallery.

Central to this discussion is the imperative to craft a comprehensive plan that encompasses every facet of the UM Zero Waste Campaign Project and the original development plan of the UM ZWC Gallery. This necessitates the identification of specific objectives, targets, and milestones that are in alignment with the overarching mission of fostering waste reduction and sustainability throughout the university community.

Additionally, the discussion aims to delineate the vision, design, and features of the UM ZWC Gallery, envisaging it as a showcase of sustainable practices and success stories under the Circular Economy platform introduced by UMSDC. This entails determining the program content, physical space layout, interactive elements, and educational resources that will be incorporated into the gallery to captivate and educate visitors, inspiring them to embrace sustainable behaviors via circular economy.

This discussion was attended by:
Ar. Dr. Sharifah Noor Nazim Syed Yahya - Executive Director, JHB
Pn. Zarina Shariff - Head of Facility Division, JHB
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zeeda Fatimah Mohamad - Director, UMSDC
