[Rankings] Strategic coordination in empowering UM‘s contribution towards Environment, Social and Governance (ESG)
via QS World University Rankings - Sustainability 2025
The Data Preparation and Delivery Planning Session for QS World University Rankings - Sustainability 2025 served as a pivotal gathering geared towards meticulously planning and executing strategies aimed at elevating the University's standing and contribution to Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) via the forthcoming sustainability rankings administered by QS (Quacquarelli Symonds). With sustainability increasingly becoming a focal point in higher education evaluation and accreditation processes, the session aimed to address this imperative by strategizing and coordinating efforts across various departments and units within the University. This Sustainability Rankings developed based on the framework of ESG comprises three (3) lenses: Environmental Impact, Social Impact, and Governance.
The agenda for the session included:
1. Reviewing the indicators and metrics for the QS Sustainability Rankings 2025, which were recently announced by QS on February 1, 2024.
2. Developing strategies to empower and manage the process of collecting and delivering data for QS WUR: Sustainability 2025.
3. Discussion on other matters related to university rankings in terms of sustainability for the year 2024.
Crucially, the session fostered a more strategic collaboration and coordination among stakeholders, including faculty, administrative staff, sustainability officers, and other relevant personnel. By bringing together diverse perspectives and expertise, the University aimed to harness collective intelligence and resources to drive meaningful progress in sustainability performance.
