The meeting provided a platform for stakeholders to exchange ideas, strategies, and best practices to accelerate progress towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for Malaysia with the alignment of national  strategic outlook pinned by the National SDG Centre, Ministry of Economy Malaysia.

With a commitment to collective action and partnership, the APPGM-SDG Secretariat continues to strategically spearhead initiatives aimed at driving sustainable development in Malaysia through active parliamentary constituencies. Universiti Malaya extends our heartfelt appreciation to APPGM-SDG for inviting 2 respective centers to be part of the meeting namely: UM Sustainable Development Centre (SDC) and UM Community Engagement Centre (UMCares). This meeting also highlights the critical role of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in driving SDGs implementation and enculturation mainly through research and education.
