As part of the strategic sustainability enculturation among the UM researchers, UM Sustainability and Development Centre (UMSDC), with the support of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) and in close collaboration with the Department of Development and Estate Maintenance (JPPHB), UMSDC and its unit EcoCampus@UM embarks on a new sustainability research journeys.
Two new UM Living Labs @ UMSDC grants are introduced to promote Green Culture @ UM, Circular Economy, and Carbon-Neutral lifestyle through action and a transdisciplinary research platform. A special slot on UMLL @ UMSDC and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Clinic was held successfully with the participation of 122 UM researchers. The session was delivered by Associate Professor Dr. Zeeda Fatimah Mohamad (Director) and facilitated by Mr. Mohd Fadhli Rahmat Fakri and Mr. Affan Nasaruddin.
The focus of the two grants: The grant covers areas as listed in the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), UM Sustainability Policy 2021-2025, UM Eco-Campus Blueprint (UMECB), Circular Economy, and Carbon Neutral while also supporting the national and local agendas such as Shared Prosperity Vision 2030 (SPV2030).
