The "KITAR@KINA with UM ZWC 19th Recycling and Buyback Program" was a collaborative effort organized by 8th Residential College (Kinabalu Residential College) in partnership with UM Zero Waste Campaign (UM ZWC). The primary goal of this initiative was to advance environmental sustainability practices through effective waste management practices in particularly recycling behavior.

During the program, participants were encouraged to bring various recyclable materials, including paper, plastic, and glass, to designated collection points. These materials were then recycled or repurposed, contributing to the reduction of waste in landfills from UM and promoting resource conservation.

Additionally, participants received incentives such as rewards or compensation for their contributions, motivating them to actively engage in the program. Educational campaigns were also conducted to raise awareness about the importance of recycling and its positive impact on the environment.
