Reflection on the Program:
APRU SDG Education for Global Citizenship (APRU SDG4GC) is an intercultural, transdisciplinary, and interactive program emphasizing global citizenship among students from 60 universities.
It was the perfect meeting for youth to build knowledge of global issues and global literacy and to take their initiatives and ideas forward.
Under the theme 'Shaping the Future of Health & Well-being,' I really appreciated that in this program, I gained access to interactive lectures, panel sessions, and workshops on SDGs, health & well-being, and social innovation. Social innovation and design thinking experts also facilitate a mentorship program to guide my team to develop social innovation prototypes that address the pressing challenges of societies globally.
Gaining knowledge and brilliant sharing from the experts enabled my fellow participants and me to prepare for the program's highlight, Social Innovation Pitching Competition. And I am very delighted to be awarded as Runner-Up in this competition with our social innovation – WISDOM COLLEGE. From this platform, I will be experiencing first-hand on-site training and workshop in Bangkok, Thailand, and the opportunity to attend the 79th UNESCAP event as a youth observer.
