In a bid to enrich understanding and mutual exchange of sustainable development efforts, Professor Sashika R. Abeydeera Manoratne, hailing from the University of Colombo, embarked on her scholarly visit to Universiti Malaya, with Universiti Malaya Sustainable Development Center (UMSDC) as one of the hosts. The visit, which transpired on March 14, 2024, was geared towards gaining profound insights into UM campus sustainability and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) initiatives.
During the visit, Professor Manoratne delved into various facets of campus sustainability and SDG initiatives through engaging discussions with the UMSDC Team, represented by Mr. Mohd Fadhli Rahmat Fakri, Dr. Azizi Abu Bakar & Ms. Nuratikah Mohd Zainodin. The exchange of ideas encompassed strategies, challenges, and accomplishments in implementing sustainable practices on the university campus and aligning them with the broader SDGs framework.
