The Climate Risk and Governance in Malaysia - Broadening Our Horizon Online Forum 2023, held in conjunction with the National Climate Governance Summit 2023, proved to be a significant milestone in the ongoing dialogue surrounding climate risk and governance in Malaysia. Hosted by Climate Governance Malaysia and Universiti Malaya (led by UM Sustainability and Development Centre), the event brought together a diverse array of stakeholders, including policymakers, academics, researchers, and student leader, to deliberate on crucial issues related to climate change.
The forum initiated discussions on the specific climate risks faced by Malaysia, ranging from extreme weather events to long-term environmental impacts.
