Universiti Malaya and the Department of Fisheries (Wilayah Persekutuan / Putrajaya Office - DoF) are exploring a partnership to promote local and non-invasive (alien) fish diversity and conservation efforts.

UM members are represented by Mr. Noor Azril Ramli and his team from the Department of Development and Estate Maintenance (JPPHB), supported by the UMSDC team and its pioneer water conservation living lab, Water Warriors UM.
UM Tasik Varsiti is in DoF’s plan for its upcoming selected Program Pelepasan Benih Ikan site, with potential long-term opportunities to become Fish Bank under DoF.
