In conjunction with UM Research Gallery (from 7 September to 7 October 2022) at the Exhibition Hall, Research Management and Innovation Complex (KPPI), UM Sustainability and Development Centre (UMSDC) is pleased to invite UM community to visit UMR Gallery and participate in our two sustainability campaigns:
DO IT RIGHT CAMPAIGN
Do you know we should not throw away our unused medicines in a domestic bin or flush them in our toilet? In partnership with CARiNG Pharmacy, we welcome you to donate your unused/expired medicines at one of our Sustainability Booths manned by both UM (Safe Disposal of Unused Medicines team) and CARiNG Pharmacists on these 4 specified dates:
All collected expired/unused medicines will be disposed of responsibly.
OLD SOLES, NEW LIFE (OSNL) CAMPAIGN
Imagine if every person in UM throws away one pair of shoes per year, which will end up in the landfill, that would be about 36,000 shoes in a year. Join us to recycle your shoes via our sustainability partners EcoKnights and Lifeline Clothing Malaysia! You can drop off your old shoes at our OSNL dedicated 'wheely container' throughout this one-month Gallery from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm (weekdays).
Your shoes will be recycled as rubber granules to make sports and playground surfaces! Do your part for a greener Earth!
