Campus Sustainability Benchmarking Visit by Delegation from Universiti Malaysia Pahang (DVC Research & Innovation, and Division of Rankings and Sustainability UMP) to Universiti Malaya (UMSDC, Corporate Data Centre, & JPPHB)

A delegation of six from Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) paid a campus sustainability benchmarking visit to Universiti Malaya as a strategic follow-up to the previous visit in March 2023 by a different team.
Universiti Malaya team consists of three teams, i.e., UM Sustainability and Development Centre (Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zeeda Fatimah Mohamad, Mr. Mohd Fadhli Rahmat Fakri, Mrs. Mairuz Asmarafariza Azlan, Mr. Hisyamuddin Che Harun, & Ms. Nur Atikah Zainodin), the Corporate Data Centre (CDC - Mr. Rahmat Shah Putra Samsul Rizal & Mr. Mohamad Firdaus Ramli), and the Department of Development and Estate Maintenance (JPPHB - Mr. Norhisham Mat Dom). UM team shared an institutional walkthrough chapter of the campus sustainability and commitments, which include the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), UI GreenMetric World University Rankings (UIGM), Times Higher Education Impact Rankings (THE IR), and the QS World University Rankings on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG). In this session, UM Living Labs @ UMSDC was introduced as UM's signature model in promoting sustainability action and translational research in addressing campus sustainability issues and challenges.
UMP delegation is represented by Prof. Ts. Dr. Kamal Zuhairi Zamli (Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Research and Innovation), Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Herma Dina Setuabudi (Director, Rankings and Sustainability Division) and DVC R&I Office and Centre for Corporate and Quality Affairs members.
Both parties shared their best practices on campus sustainability strategies and initiatives, which include sustainability data governance and ecosystem.
UM thanks the delegates from UMP for once again visiting our campus and mutually learning from each other success stories.
