Sustainability@UM Steering Committee

The Sustainability @ Universiti Malaya Steering Committee is dedicated to leading strategic initiatives and actions aimed at fostering a sustainable, carbon-neutral, and net-zero campus environment. Our mission is deeply rooted in Universiti Malaya's ethos of serving the nation, impacting the world, and embracing our new statement: "home of the bright, land of the brave." Through collaboration, innovation, and engagement, we strive to integrate sustainability principles into every facet of university life, empowering our community to become stewards of the environment and agents of positive change on a global scale.

This Steering Committee will convene at a minimum of thrice (3 times) a year, with Associate Vice-Chancellor (Corporate Strategy)
oversees the committee as Chairperson.
