UM Sustainability and Development Centre (UM SDC) is pleased to share and congratulate Tan Guang Yi and his mentor Dr. Zati Hakim Azizul Hassan from the Department of Artificial Intelligence, Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (FSKTM) UM, on their recent achievement: Shortlisted in Top 20 out of 160 entries on Youth Sustainable Project Competition (YSUP) 2022. Tan Guang Yi received a gift hamper from the European Union Delegation to ASEAN for shortlisted in Top 20.
This competition is a platform to bring ASEAN youth to the forefront of the future of ASEAN. The European Union (EU) and the ASEAN Secretariat organized the competition, while the call for Malaysian participation is coordinated by the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI) Malaysia. The YSUP aims to encourage ASEAN youth to act and bring positive impacts to society through sustainable projects in their respective areas of interest. The focus areas of the sustainable projects can include the environment, education, health, gender, or youth empowerment.
